David was born on Pioneer Day, the day before his mother's birthday, a special gift for her and to all who knew him. The son of Lucile James and Harry Shewell, David passed away surrounded by loved ones in St. George, UT. He grew up in the heart of Salt Lake City, attending West High School and graduating from Stevens Heneger College. He was Deputy Chief Justice Clerk in the Third District Court, becoming an indispensable asset for several of the area's most prestigious judges. He was beloved by all the staff, especially the teams of clerks he managed. David was known as having a tender heart, loving animals. He showed a great sense of humor by giving everyone he cherished silly nick names.
